Murray Halperin, President
Murray is the founder of Biz Lending & Insurance Center, Inc. (BLIC) and brings 35 years of experience to the industry. His background includes 15 years at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in the commodity brokerage business as EVP of a publicly traded firm and another 15 years working with the banking/credit union industry in program origination and sales of auto and business lending programs. Murray’s primary role at BLIC is to develop the relationships nationwide that funnel the commercial real estate and member business loan opportunities into our network.
Sally Zalk, CEO
Sally is the founder and owner of BLIC parent company Essential Meeting Services, Inc. (EMS). Established in 1985, EMS has provided corporate meeting services around the globe for some of the world’s best known companies that include Swiss Re Insurance, Umbro, Phillips Electronics, General Motors Cadillac Division, Nestles Food and many others. Using Sally’s extensive business background and expertise she is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of BLIC and its affiliate company EqLease.
Robert Perkins, Processing Manager
Bob brings more than 25 years’ experience working with builders and vendors in the construction and equipment lending industry. His wide range of expertise includes the origination and packaging of equipment loans and leases for small to mid-sized businesses and commercial real estate loans. Bob manages a team of people that review the loan opportunities as presented from our vendor and real estate professional partners and then moves them into the system. His group is the first line of defense to ensure that the guidelines and parameters are met and that all the information and documentation is in place before our partners ever sees a loan opportunity from BLIC.
Trish Black, Operations Manager
Trish brings more than 15 years of experience in Operations Management in the telecommunications and lead generation industry. Her management background includes offshore contact centers, lawyer referral services and disability advocacy groups. Trish specializes in the efficient organization of company resources to direct activities toward sales force goals and objectives to boost revenue growth.
Jessica Posey, Marketing Coordinator
Jessica Posey brings over 17 years of experience in customer service, business operations and marketing services. A graduate from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Commercial Recreation, she utilizes her expertise in tourism, marketing, event planning, and management to bring innovative marketing solutions to clients looking to become a leader in their industry. Jessica resides in Nashville, TN with her husband, two children and two cats and enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling and exercising.
John Snyder, IS Manager
John is our tech wizard! He brings over 15 years of expertise working with large corporations and the US Government helping to keep our systems safe and secure. Johns works with BLIC on an outsourced basis to manage our systems, web sites and overall systems security.
James Janota, Sales Representative
Jim began his 30 year career with Lawrence Simon & Company and has gained considerable experience and success assisting credit unions with improving bottom line results through the use of contemporary insurance and member lending solutions. Jim’s background provides a strong foundation for his role in introducing Member Business Lending concepts and other associated services to all credit unions that are interested in participating in these lines of business.
Iris Alicea, Business Administrator
Iris brings over 20 years experience in Project Management with extended experience within the Pharmaceutical & Health Care industries. Her background includes Product Management and Development with a focus on Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) and Account Management.
